WILLIAM ARTHUR HULSEY, JR. SENTENCED FOR POSSESSION OF CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
[KNOXVILLE, Tenn] William Arthur Hulsey, Jr., age 43, of Knoxville, Tennessee, was sentenced today to 120 months in federal prison and supervised release for the remainder of his life as the result of a guilty plea on May 29, 2009, to an Indictment charging him with possession of child pornography he had downloaded off the internet. This was the maximum sentence allowed for this crime.
Additionally, Hulsey was ordered to forfeit his computer and all its related equipment to the United States. The sentencing was held before United States District Court Judge Thomas A. Varlan.
This case is part of the Department’s “Project Safe Childhood” initiative which targets individuals that produce, distribute and possess child pornography over the internet.
This investigation was conducted by the Knoxville Police Department, Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Frank M. Dale, Jr. represented the United States.
